The Long Room
Eaton Park, Eccleston
Directions:
Heading south on the M53 towards North Wales, you will join the southerly by-pass (A55).
Carry on along the A55 until you come to the exit for Wrexham.
At the top of the slip road you turn left onto the A483 and carry on for a few hundred yards until you reach a small roundabout.
Take the first turning left at this roundabout onto the B5445.
Travel approximately 150-200 yards along this road and then take the first turning on the left for Eccleston (Rake Lane).
Carry on along Rake Lane under Bridge(13'6") into the village of Eccleston. Follow the road round to the right and proceed down Paddock Road for approximately quarter of a mile. (Height restricted vehicles to approach via Handbridge, Eaton Road to Eccleston, turn left then bear right into Paddock Road)
At the turning to Eccleston Ferry you will see the sign for Eaton Park – proceed into the Park until you reach the wrought iron gates (Eccleston Gate). You will then need to speak to the Security Control Room, via the intercom, to gain admission.
You may also enter through the Aldford Gate (to the south of the Park) if this is more convenient. The Belgrave Gate is not open to the general public.
The Stiwt
Rhos, Nr Wrexham
Directions:
Take the A483 and get off at the junction for the B5605 Rhosllannerchrugog (Rhos) from either direction. When traveling from Wrexham/Chester take the third exit off the roundabout, when traveling from Llangollen/Oswestry take the first exit. Heading for Johnstown and Crematorium. Follow this road for 1.5 miles until you get to a set of traffic lights. Turn right following the brown signs for Stiwt.
Go up 'Gutter Hill' until you come to the third turning on your right, Queens Street - a road which takes you between a garage on your left and a chapel to your right.
Follow this road until you get to the bend at the end. This will take you onto Broad Street. Just after the bend you will see the Stiwt on your right.
To get to the Stiwt car park, go past the Stiwt and take the first turn on your right down New Street, past the corner shop. Then take the next narrow turn on your right opposite Cae'r Eglwys. The Stiwt car park is on the right at the end of this road
