Getting Involved With Tip Top
Membership
Tip Top Productions are always looking for new members to keep the company moving. We enjoy seeing new faces at each production, whether it is for pure enjoyment of helping out or as a principle player on stage. If you would like to become more involved, why not start by joining our membership database and receiving our newsletter? Or come and help front of house and meet some of the team?
As an ambitious charity organisation we have to face the challenge of covering the costs of producing professional theatrical experiences. Tip Top have a standard approach to membership - there is an annual charge to each member of £20 to cover administration, newsletters and generally supporting the running of the group.
If you decide you are interested in appearing on stage with Tip Top and you audition successfully then we request an Appearance Fee of £20. This helps towards covering all production costs from wardrobe to props and sets to theatre hire! This fee does not apply if you are helping out with a show either back-stage or Front of house. If you appear on stage in more than one production within a season which starts in September, then the appearance fee is reduced by £5 each subsequent time until you pay only £10 per show.
Join today by completing our membership form
For further information, or you would have difficulty in paying the fees listed, do not despair, contact our Membership Secretary, Ken Williams from the Contact Us page.

In addition to these I will need a number of people to take different speaking and non-speaking roles within each episode - such as the Nazi U-Boat Captain, platoon members, servicemen, wardens, waitresses etc. There is plenty for everyone to do - you won't be bored!
Audition Information
Auditions for all parts will take place Sunday 20th July at 2pm at the Forum Studio Theatre.
The afternoon will take the format of a read through of a couple of different scenes as a group and then we will do 'proper' auditions where you will get the chance to read for specific parts. I am hoping that it won't be a long afternoon but I will need to see different combinations of people!
If you want to take a look at the script and have a read then please give me a shout and I will make sure that you get a copy of the relevant scenes.
I am not expecting anyone to turn up with script that has been learnt and the best thing I can advise is to watch an episode of Dad's Army and to come along on the Sunday and have a go!
Rehearsals
Subject to successful auditions I am hoping to start rehearsals on Sunday 27th July with a read through which will then lead into the normal rehearsal period. I would like to rehearse 3 times a week which will rise to 4 closer to the show however I am aware that the rehearsal period for the show falls over the summer holiday period and I am quite happy to look at being flexible on rehearsal days to a certain degree - This will be discussed further at auditions with a tentative schedule being presented.
Performances
The Show is on from Thursday 25th September to Saturday 4th October and this will include 2 shows (matinee & evening) on the Saturdays. There is also the possibility of entering the show into the Fleetwood drama festival which would involve another performance later on in October - TBC.
